Starters Cream of potato and watercress soup. A traditional blend, finished with rich double cream. (v) (g) Seafood salad **** Delicious combination of prawns, crayfish and flaked salmon, served with a Marie Rose sauce presented on abed of salad. Gressingham duck liver pate. Fresh pate flavoured with thyme and cognac, accompanied by an ale chutney and fresh ciabatta bread. |
Main Courses Hand carved turkey breast with homemade chestnut and apricot stuffing **** Served with a chipoloata wrapped in bacon, a light turkey jus and delicious cranberry relish. Roasted loin of Suffolk pork. Complemented with a sage and redcurrant jus and a luxurious bramly apple sauce. Pan-fried loin of cod. Drizzled with a lemon and thyme cream sauce on a bed of crushed saffron potatoes. (g) Asparagus, cherry tomato and ricotta tartlet. Enhanced with a hint of pesto served with a wild mushroom cream sauce. (v) All served with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. |
Desserts Traditional Christmas Pudding. Locally produced, enriched with Suffolk ale ans erved with brandy sauce. Chocolate and orange cheescake ****Accompanied by a delectable Butterscotch anglais. Trio of melon. With a tangy ginger creme fraiche. (v) (g)
